The Perfect storm(for Israel)

On June 7, 1967 after months of tensions Israel launched a surprise attack on Egypt, Jordan and Syria now known as the 6 day war. Responding to agresive troop movements by Egypt in the Sinai peninsula, the heavily outnumbered Israeli army decided that a good ofense was it's best defense. In a matter of days the Israeli army controlled the entire Sinai peneisula, the gaza strip, the west bank and the Golan Heights. Fast forward sept 18, 2012 the Jewish state faces a growing threat from the Iranian gvernment's irresponsible quest to obtain nuclear weapons at any cost. Isreali intelligence estimates the Iran can be nuclear capable in 6 months, just like in 1967 this a threat that Israel just cannot live with.

Unlike 1967 Pan Arabism is no longer a reality. The so called "Arab Spring" has brought more unstable governments to the middle east and North Africa. Egypt is struggling to transition to democracy, Syria is mired in a bloody civil war and Jordan and Irak have neither the will or the means for a prolonged war with Israel. The thought of a united Arab front against Israel is just that, a thought.

The only thing standing in the Israeli's way is Barack Hussein Obama's petulent and misguided support for Islamic countries and indiference to the Jewish state. Make no mistake Israel will not allow Iran to go Nuclear just like it destroyed Irak's and Syria's nuclear ambitions, Israel will act accordingly with or with out the support of the United States.
